Building through
business barriers
Flying blind
When Divide Design Group approached us, their business had stalled. Despite their drive for growth, the Directors were flying blind – having trouble reading trends and making poor decisions due to a messy accounting system. To complicate matters, they launched a new business, which only amplified the challenges. Their previous accountant was reactive, only preparing financials for tax time, leaving them without the insights they needed. They knew it was time for a change and sought out a management accountant who could help them get back on track.
Data driven decisions
Our first step was to provide the Directors with a clear snapshot of their businesses. This was the foundation for updating their accounting records and ultimately led to outsourcing their bookkeeping. We implemented a strong management framework with formal planning, budget setting, and regular review meetings. Armed with performance reports, the Directors regained the confidence to push for growth. Additionally, we advised on a business restructure, streamlining operations, especially in their ecommerce arm.
Better business, better life
With these new structures in place, the Directors now spend less time at the office and with less stress. Accurate forecasts give them a clear view of what’s ahead, ensuring they have the working capital they need, when they need it. Overall, they feel much closer to their Stafford Super Goal.
In their own words
Engaging Stafford Accounting has revitalised our business. No longer are we scratching our heads due to half baked numbers. Instead we’ve got good data which tells us how the businesses are performing. Thanks to the regular reports we receive it’s amazing how much quicker it is to make decisions and the forward planning scenarios have been a revelation. It’s onwards and upwards from here.
